If I was to write a book on how to be a successful Casino Manager it would state: A good Casino Manager treats people better than gets treated. They understand the ups and downs of a gambler and put themselves in their shoes when needed. A good Casino Manager shows empathy and on occasion sympathy. A good Casino Manager fixes situations or equipment when nobody else can. A good Casino Manger develops anyone who wants to learn. A great Casino Manager does all of the above first, but also understands the numbers and how to make them better. Yes it would be a very short book. I have taught several people the importance of Casino Analytics. The passion for knowing the numbers was not the issue, but learning spreadsheet programs has been a challenge. This book will go over step by step the programming and graph making so no matter the knowledge level of computers or software, getting to develop a performance program for slots or tables will not be an issue. As the title suggests, this is a very boring book unless you are familiar with casino operations and have a passion for making a property better by increasing market share.
