Description: An Up Locking Reel Seat with an Orangeheart Insert for 4 to 6 Weight Fly Rods! I have worked with woods called Redheart, Yellowheart, an Purpleheart. And I've read that some of the very early English Fly Rods were made from a wood called Greenheart. So when I was browsing in the Albuquerque Exotic Woods store, and came across a nice piece of Orangeheart, I had to get it. The very nice Sale Lady did not know what other name the wood had, but I thought I'd easily find in the Wood Data Base. But when I did a searh for Orangeheart, the first wood that popped up was Brazillwood, but it did not specificlly say that it was also called Orangeheart. And from the name I'm sure you'll know where it comes from. The insert has varying shades of Orange ranging from a pale Orange, to darker tones as dark as Blood Orange. I finished the insert with CA, or Cyano Acrylate, which is more commonly known as "Krazy" Glue, so it would be Hard, Shiny, and Waterproof. The Up Locking hardware is made from very highly polished Aluminum, and is a bright Silver in color. This Reel Seat would contrast very nicely with any color brown blank, and would also look good on any dark colored blank.
