Description: AO American Optical Gold 52[]20 Bayonet style frame with new old stock(NOS) gray non-polarized glass lenses. The lenses are sourced from military surplus, no logo, non-polarized. Completely correct for military issue. The frame has been disassembled, cleaned and straightened. I put them back to as close to factory specifications as I can. For 50+ year old sunglasses these rate a solid 8/10, with some wear on the gold frame. The temple tips have been removed for cleaning, and replaced. The pictures show the condition better than any description ever could. There is wear and yellowing on the temple tips and nose pads. The frame is 5.25” wide. Please use that as a sizing guide, to make sure these will fit your face. Please do that before you bid. AO was the original military aviator sunglass supplier, so this frame is a piece of history. It is 50 years old, though, so do not purchase if you want new. Comes with a new hard or soft case, buyer’s choice. This frame rates a 8/10.
