Description: Addy's "Work Dress and Apron" #AXO was manufactured for the 18" American Girl historical character doll Addy Walker in China for the Pleasant Company as an Extra Outfit. Introduced in 1995, it was retired in 2007. Its former owner, an adult collector, purchased this item in 1998. UN-played with in its original plastic burgundy garment bag, the blue cotton work dress and green plaid apron remain in clean and sturdy condition, though wrinkly from storage. Inside the apron's pocket are the outfit's three wooden clothespins, still inside their original baggy! Additionally, the outfit's plastic garment bag and hanger are included. Missing is its brochure. Addy's "Work Dress and Apron" presents a fascinating glimpse into the clothing styles and customs of young girls during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras.
