Description: Very rare Alvarez Japan model 5006 Special Edition from 1977. Does not resemble any other 5006 I have seen from this era (It's much more like my Alvarez Yairi CY117 anniversary edition in terms of appointments and build quality). Has beautiful headstock, rosette and neck stripe (never seen on this model or any other Alvarez or A/Y until you get way up the ladder). Solid cedar top with Rosewood back and sides. Very little wear and in perfect playing condition with low action- but has cosmetic issues; the back and sides have apparent discoloration on the poly finish. The wood is perfect , this is purely cosmetic and in the finish ONLY (see photos).
