Our GM Type II power steering pump is a high quality cast aluminum race pump that comes pre-valved to provide the best assist at the race rpms the typical oval track car sees come race night. The pump’s flow requires a minimum of 1,000 rpm engine speed to drive the pre-installed 6-inch V-groove pulley for 2.0 gallons per minute (gpm) of flow at just over 1,000 psi. The GM power steering pump is capable of up to 4 gpm at 1,400 psi depending upon the rest of your power steering system. Max output is 1,600 psi at 8,000 rpm. Our aluminum GM Type 2 power steering pump will mount in any Type 2 bracket system you may be running and comes with an AN6 outlet fitting preinstalled.
