These simple designs contain a wavy background design (version I with peaks pointing up (Spitzen nach oben) and version II with peaks pointing down (Spitzen nach unten), with the value in the centre and French text. This is a very nice example of the more common (grey)olive-green 1 Centime value, variant I a with the upward pointing peaks. In used condition with clean circular cancellation, location indeterminable. Not expertised. This variation is catalogued in the Michel specialist volume at EUR 130,-.
