Description: From the film “Alien” this is the very rare Nostromo movie tie-in hat made by The Thinking Cap Co. in 1979. Hat is definitely used with visible stains under the brim but has that “worn by Brett” look. Maintains good shape and the brim is not bent or damaged. Snap-back for universal fit. Threads and stitching on the Nostromo patch and scrambled eggs are intact and in excellent condition, as is the cord running along the front panel. Not all the hats had the cord so they are rare. No other reproduction of the Nostromo cap is as good as this version. The Nostromo patch is virtually indistinguishable from the on-set patches. Additional detailed photos available on request. This hat is from my personal collection: I purchased it new at a convention in Los Angeles in 1979, shortly after the film came out. I’m the only person who has ever worn it. It has never been machine washed though there were periods of several years where it was not worn or sat in storage. There is no mold. There are a lot of Nostromo hats out there, but most of them look terrible TBH. This is the real deal and is hands-down one of the most sought-after Alien universe collectibles. This is a must-have item for the serious Alien fan. Hat is over 40 years old. This is an original 1979 hat not a copy.
