Description: Akai S1000 OS v4.4 Final EPROM Firmware Upgrade SET This version 4.4 is the latest known operating system firmware issued by Akai for S1000. Included will be 2 new EPROM chips, recently manufactured to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime. Keep in mind that the S1000 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chips are. Unlike some others, No used or recycled refurbished as “new” components will be supplied here. This upgrade set is also compatible with the S1000KB and S1000PB series samplers. Before purchasing, Please verify which firmware is your S1000 has installed: Turn on the S1000 and look at the screen, you will see what OS revision you have listed before the text flashes past to tell you how many MWORDS (ram) is installed. I realize that this is obvious to most but you would be surprised with the kind of messages I get sometimes :) Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board. All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials. Purchase with confidence!
