Description: Here they are, a truly amazing and beautiful strand of 47 rare pencil Venetian Chevron beads from the African Trade, circa 1850s to early 1900s. These beads are in excellent condition. It would take a long time to collect so many excellent beads one bead at a time, if they could even be found. Also included is an outstanding Venetian Yellow Tomato bead focal, in excellent condition; as well as a wonderful Dutch Blue Aspeo at the back. This is a longer strand at approx. 25.5 inches, it will fit over your head out of the box. The yellow tomato bead is 20.5mm wide, the chevrons vary from 8.8mm to 8.3mm wide, and the red hearts vary from 6.4mm to 5.7mm. Yes, those are beautiful Venetian Red Hearts used as spacer beads, there are 47 of them. This is a legacy strand, to be passed from one generation to the next to be loved, admired and celebrated for years to come. I do not have a second set of these rare and exceptional beads. When I sat down to make this strand, I did so in one pass, no revisions. The design was immediate and effortless, as if the beads knew where they wanted to go. Please see all the photos for sizing and condition and message us with any questions.
