Along with copper, brass wire fires well with BRONZclay™, bronze sheet and findings, offering you a wider range of design options. Made with 85% copper and 15% zinc, it is also known as red brass, NuGold, Jeweler’s Bronze or Merlin’s Gold. It is Nickel and Lead free. This wire is of a dead soft temper and should be handled carefully. Anneal as necessary. Temper or hardness is changeable by annealing or work hardening. Brass nor copper cannot be heat-hardened. The harder the metal is after finishing your design, the brighter a finish it will take. The wire is coiled and packaged in a reusable plastic bag.
