Abraham Lincoln Cooper Union Speech 1860 Campaign Pamphlet Rare

Description: 1860 publication of Abraham Lincoln’s famous “right is might” New York Cooper Union speech. The Address of the Hon. Abraham Lincoln, In Vindication of the Policy of the Framers of the Constitution and the Principles of the Republican Party, Delivered at Cooper Institute, February 27th, 1860, Issued by the Young Men's Republican Union. New York: George F. Nesbitt & Co. Printers and Stationers, 1860. 8vo, 32pp. Printed glossy white wraps with gilt lettering. Book apparently unread, as two pages are still uncut by binder. Uncirculated Ex-Library with 19th century date stamp (1870 or 1880– the third digit is difficult to make out) on front cover ONLY. No other markings. Contents are clean with no writing or stamping, library or otherwise. There is some age discoloration on wraps, more pronounced on back cover. Center crease where pamphlet was folded. A small tear / chip to back cover corner (pictured). Previous owner name lightly penciled on cover; else very good. Arguably a very attractive copy of this desirable piece of American political history, hard to find in any condition and rarely seen with wraps intact. Will ship USPS Priority Mail same or next day. Please view photos for close up and detail. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you!
