Description: A Shelley "Iris" 11850 Mode shape Bread & Butter plate. C.1931. Pattern No 11850 Iris - Print in green. Enamelled in Turkish blue. Blue tab handles. White ground. Entered in pattern book during or after 1931. The shape of the tea service that this plate originates from is the Mode shape which was produced between 1930 & 1932. Dimensions: 248mm (9.75 inches) by 210mm (8.25 inches). Condition: In very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or rubbing. Paintwork is all in very good order with no fading to the pattern. The plate has a very good true sound to it when lightly tapped.
