Description: A Shelley "Blue Iris" 11561 Queen Anne shape Bread & Butter plate. C.1927. Pattern No 11561 Blue Iris - Irises with green leaves on small panels. Yellow and red stylised fruit and grey leaves on large panels. Dots and circles on panel joins. White ground. Dark blue edges. Entered in pattern book during or after 1927. The shape of this bread and butter plate is the Queen Anne shape which was produced between 1926 & 1960. Dimensions: 242mm (9.5 inches) by 206mm (8.1 inches). Condition: In excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching or signs of wear. Paintwork / enamelling is in very good order with no fading to the pattern. The plate has a very good true sound to it when lightly tapped.
