Description: This is an original copy of 1891 manual on wood carving.The book was purchased by my mother for $150 several years ago from an antique dealer. A plastic sleeve/dust jacket has been added, at some point during its previous ownership, to help protect it. This is the illustrated edition. At the time I originally created this listing, other 1891 copies in good condition were selling for over $1000 on Amazon. They have since been sold. The price reflects a very reasonable asking price, given the purchase price and those other sales. This copy is not in excellent condition. The back cover is half missing, pages 71-78 have become detached from the binding and the front of the book is falling off (see last two photos in gallery). I suspect the damage existed before the previous owner, which is why they added a plastic sleeve. Feel free to ask any questions.
