Description: Dresden China hand-painted collector plates, with a beautiful bold Yellow Rose pattern with a purple/brown shadowing and gold trim. Signed by the artist "E. Muller". Note: Smallest plates are signed by "Ch. Millier" as Dresden employed multiple artists to paint each design.Dresden was in business from 1875 to 1927, in East Liverpool, Ohio, USA. The Dresden Pottery mark was used from 1882 to 1925 by the Potters Cooperative, which had purchased the old Dresden Pottery in 1882. The name of the Cooperative was changed to the Dresden Pottery in 1925, and it went out of business in 1927.Pieces have a green backstamp mark for Dresden / China that was used from about 1908 to 1915.Dimensions: - Largest plate (charger / cake plate / service) 12.5" Diameter coupe. Stamped "1237" in gold on verso. Signed "E Muller" in leaf on front. - Middle sized plate (dinner plate) 10.5" Diameter coupe. Stamped Dresden China on verso.- Smallest sized plate (salad / dessert plate) 6/5" Diameter coupe. Each is stamped Dresden China on verso. Signed "Ch. Millier" in leaf on front. Good used condition with no chips to the rims. Plates do show considerable crazing due to age. There is also some darkening to areas of the verso where no paint has been applied. The crazing does not detract from the appearance of the fronts. There are dots and some marked areas to the painted surfaces. These are not in perfect or excellent condition. These plates were used and are over 100 years old. Please look carefully at the photos to appreciate the flaws and imperfections and ask any questions you may have. I am happy to help.
