Description: These seven vintage Ohio Public Health Journal issues dealt with the many issues that Ohio public health was facing from 1919 to 1921. (In 1921, the publication was renamed Ohio Health.) Published by the State Department of Health, this publication had to keep the state’s physicians about public health news, pressing disease reports, legislative changes in the state and much more. In other words, it’s a specialized medical trade publication designed to keep the state’s doctors informed about current news and opinion. I got these at an estate sale in Tallmadge Ohio. The doctor had run his practice out of his home; and following the death of his wife, the family sold everything in the house – and his long closed office. I spent my time exploring the long closed office. These seven issues were filed together, presumably because the doctor found something especially noteworthy that he wanted to review. Below are the issues which you will be receiving. These are original, vintage publications. All are in good to very good condition, some curling on the edges, but no rips or tears or writing inside. Each has its original cover, binding is strong and tight. Each issue is complete. Below are the seven issues which you will be receiving in this very special lot. 1. Ohio Public Health Journal, November-December 1919 (Vol. 10: 11-12), pp. 397-444 (issues are continuously paginated).
