Description: Echinopsis glaucina, syn. Acanthocalycium glaucum, Acanthocalycium thionantha var glauca, Echinopsis aurantiaca 50+ CACTUS SEEDS HARVEST: JULY 2024 This listing is for SEEDS from open pollinated flowers from the mother plants in photos. Echinopsis glaucina, endemic to Belen, Catamarca Argentina, is prized not only for its beautiful sulphuric yellow flowers but is one of the few that has a glaucous (bluish gray) stem. This plant produces pruina that acts like a sunscreen which is a hint that the plant can take a lot of sun. If you are a fan of the genus Echinopsis then this is a must have and is somewhat unusual to find in a cacti collection. There are lots of information online on how to germinate cactus seeds. I use the ‘baggie method’ as I find it the easiest. When using this method, it is optional to pasteurized the soil or use hydrogen peroxide or antifungal solutions to increase chances of success. Growing cactus from seeds is really fun and rewarding! FREE USPS First Class SHIPPING, no tracking provided, but I will send you photo of proof of mailing receipt SHIPS IN A BUBBLE MAILER to prevent seeds from getting crushed.
