Description: This is a .5 liter stein from Villeroy & Boch of Germany made at their Mettlach factory in 1904. 6.5" to the top of the fancy pewter, thumb-lift of the ornate embossed lid which is firmly attached to the handle through a 5 ring hinge. Loden green body with a Phanolith decoration of the archival seal or coat of arms of the city on Munich. Strap has an embossed mark on the underside that I have only seen on Mettlach steins, this one being an G. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines and a pure white interior.
