Blue flash Labradorite is seen within the feldspar along the side edges of the piece. Garnierite is found in veins and pockets of weathered ultramafic rock, igneous rock with a high mafic content. Mafic is a silicate mineral rich in magnesium and iron. Garnierite has a high nickel content and is an important ore of the metal. Piece weighs over 1 1/3 lb.
