Santini), by Classic Figure with a label on one.They are in great condition. Two have A. Santini signed on wings. One has an opalescent finish so I am not sure of its origin since it is different from the other 3.Each measures approximately 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 3 1/2". The material is a compound of marble, alabaster and resin, found in the quarries near Volterra, that was poured into a mold and then hand-finished in the very old artistic Italian tradition and style of the great masters of marble. Amilcare Santini was a sculptor born in Florence, Italy in 1910. His firm reproduces sculptures based on his original designs, and those of several other artists. Though he died in 1975, the firm remains in business and is still run by his family. The majority of his models are classical in style. A. Santini sculptures represent some of the most prestigious museum quality lines of sculptures in the world. In fact, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculpture than these A.
