Description: 4 hybrid self cloning dwarf crayfish. These hatched october 8th 2024 and are 1/2-1" long as of 11-9 and have just started growing fast. Pictures are her cloned fry up for sale. All I have examined so far have been female as expected. The last photo is the self cloning mother. I kept my male brazos dwarf crayfish culls with some self cloning marmorkebs and to my surprise one of 1000s was strange. She looked intermediate between the 2 species. I seperated her to her own tank. She grew up to be 3" showing the docility of the dwarf crayfish with the size and self cloning of the marmorkreb. I have not seen her eat live plants unlike the marmorkrebs. Too early to know for sure color or what kind of variation may show up, thus experimental. So far they range from orange, to brown to bluish tinged, some with stripes some not. They also vary greatly in size at the same age. These would definitely make a great project to select for traits. Since there is still recombination of the mother's genes during parthenogenesis ("cloning"), which are very heterozygous due to the Intergeneric hybridization.
