3D Printed Triple Flute, Key of Low D, Native American Style

Description: This is a 3D-printed nine-hole Native American style triple flute in the key of Low D. It is comprised of three chambers; the left one has no holes and plays the lowest note, the right one has three holes, and the middle one has six holes and plays the melody. The mouthpiece is designed in a way to enable blowing to each chamber separately and all together. Given the large size of the flute and its weight, it is not suitable for players with small hands. As it also requires skills to blow air into the chambers properly, it is not intended for beginners. The flute is 3D printed using a material called PLA (PolyLactic Acid). PLA is a thermoplastic made from renewable resources such as corn starch, tapioca roots, or sugar cane, unlike other industrial materials made primarily from petroleum. It is a food-grade biodegradable material, meaning it is safe and friendly for both humans and the environment. Just another example, PLA is the material used to manufacture coffee cup caps. The flute is printed in four pieces and glued together. Once 3D-printed, the parts are cleaned and sanded if needed, and the finger holes are filed to remove the excess filament. As is common with 3D printing, the parts may have some small imperfections, and layer lines will be visible; however, this does not affect the sound quality.
