Description: Three Franciscan Earthenware Desert Rose 9” Luncheon plates made in England Description: Offering a set of three vintage “Luncheon plates” by Franciscan in the Desert Rose pattern, which was introduced in 1941 – all pieces are in great condition. These were made in Staffordshire England between 1985-2003, now discontinued. Hand-painted. A delightful cream base color with pink flowers, green leaves and brown twigs. The pattern is embossed (raised to the touch). Marked safe in dishwasher, oven and microwave. Maker’s Mark: “Franciscan ®” with the “flying F”. Dimensions: 9 3/8” diameter Condition: EXCELLENT: No obvious flaws. Close to new or in new condition. No utensil marks, chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or staining. The rims are smooth.
