The“S” San Francisco business strike is not released to the banks or to other financial entities, so you won’t find the S mint business strike coins in your pocket change or by asking the teller at your local bank. Note: (1) When the America the Beautiful National Park Quarter program started back in 2010 and 2011, only 2 mint facilities were minting the business strike coins: The Philadelphia Mint (P) and The Denver Mint (D).
