An extremely limited edition ofMARK OF THE ASTRO-ZOMBIESbobblehead / bobbler resin figure! Also included is a VERY rare nylon thread black flag featuring a three color Astro-Zombie headpiece / helmet with two bloodied crossed machetes. The design was dubbed "the Jolly Mark" based on traditional pirate flags called "the Jolly Roger". The flags can be seen during an excavation scene in the third movie "Astro-Zombies M3: Cloned" which was released in 2010. Only a total of fifty flags were made!! The one you will be receiving was NOT screen used, but is identical because they were all produced at the same time. This Astro-Zombie bobbler is numbered 006. All of the bobbleheads have three-digits to prevent anyone from altering the unique designation. The bobbler was produced in 2003 to coincide with the international DVD release of the now cult-classic movie and the statue was limited to a run of only 500. Tura signed fewer than 25 of the bobble heads. The signing took place in 2007 at her hotel room. She was back in Las Vegas for a Burlesque convention at the Binion's Horseshoe Casino Hotel downtown. There are two 4"x6" glossy photos included (one of Ted V. Mikels and the other of Tura Satana) taken at the time of their signing sessions. The first 24 were possible, but Tura received figures #13 through #24. During to a convention trip to Canada, Tura shipped much of her merchandise ahead. Tura informed me that Customs lost the shipping box which included a portion of her twelve bobblers. Tura had not autographed those Mark Of The Astro-Zombies figures in advance preferring to sign them in front of the buyer. Tura Satana passed away less than four years later (1938-2011, Rest In Power) The bobber stands 8-inches tall and is made of hard poly-resin. The Astro-Zombie bobs at the waist just like the on screen action of the characters (director Ted V. Mikels wanted to make the slashing monsters appear less than human so instructions were given to run with a drunken stagger). Tura Satana autographed the left side of the base in red ink (dated 07 using a heart for the zero) and Ted V. Mikels signed the right side of the base. After moving I found a case of autographed MARK OF THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES bobble figures tucked away. The hard resin figure bobbles at the waist representing the way the modified hybrid humans moved during the 2002 movie of the same name (Mr. Mikels wanted the Astro-Zombies to move with a drunken stagger so that they didn't seem like normal people in costumes). The total production run was limited to only 500 made and each Astro-Zombies bobbler was hand signed by the cult director Ted V. Mikels himself in early 2004 (1929-2016 R.I.P). Also included is a hand signed certificate of authenticity and a limited edition postcard designed to pay homage to golden-age comic books. This particular postcard was drawn by the late artist Al Rio based strongly on UNDERWORLD CRIME #7 comic cover and a scene in MARK OF THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES when Tura Satana tortures Brinke Stevens for information about the alien zombies. Each MARK OF THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES bobbler is hand numbered on the figure's rear base. The bobble figure stands roughly 8-inches tall and 3-inches wide near the chest. Almost all of the white packaging boxes have torn tabs where the top flap tucks into the box. This occurred during signing back in 2004 when speed was of the essence during Ted Mikels' autograph sessions. None of the available figures were ever displayed out of the packaging box, but because of the minimal packaging damage I have identified them as "used" for this listing. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail or USPS Ground Advantage (your choice at checkout) within the United States only. Ask any additional questions for more clarification if needed. Thanks!
