Description: A TOTAL OF 20+ BULBS AT A FABULOUS PRICE!!!! YOU CANNOT GO WRONG!!!! You will receive a total of 20+ bulbs freshly harvested in the Fall of 2023 and not seeds. These are grown in the USA. These plants have purple, triangular leaflets that close at night. Makes a nice houseplant or can be grown annually in the garden for a splash of color. It is very easy to grow and prefers light shade and moist but well-drained soil. ************************************************ They are incredibly long lived. Oxalis triangularis often become "heirloom plants" passed down from generation to generation within a family. We often hear stories of the plants becoming a cherished family tradition. Since oxalis triangularis are super simple to plant and grow, they are frequently given as gifts. Make a nice gift by planting triangularis in an empty pot. Once they are growing, they look absolutely wonderful. Let the gift recipient know that these plants have the potential to become a treasured, living family heirloom that will last for generations with little care. ************************************************ To grow shamrocks, place bulbs in an 8” pot to create a houseplant, or tamp the bulbs into the soil outdoors, spaced 3” apart and 1 to 2” inches deep. Water the soil well, but make sure it drains adequately, as too much moisture can cause the roots to rot. Leaves should appear in 10 days and you can expect to see flowers within 10 weeks. When watering your shamrock, keep the soil barely moist, and allow the top inch of soil to dry before the next watering. Use a houseplant fertilizer mixture every two to four weeks to maintain the plant’s overall health. Like other plants grown from bulbs, the purple shamrock requires one or more “rest periods,” particularly during autumn. If your plant looks “tired” after it blossoms, stop watering it and let it go dormant for approximately one month, then fertilize and water as usual once it rejuvenates.
