Description: A very nice, unusual pair of nearly identical vintage mid-century modern or Hollywood Regency reindeer. Whether you're a collector, or just looking for a one-of-a-kind holiday decoration, these reindeer are sure to impress. They were used as store displays at Woodward & Lothrop department store, in Washington D.C., in the 1950s. They feature large, cartoonish eyes, and stylized bodies. They appear to have an undercoating of red and an applied gold plated-like finish. They do not appear to have been simply painted. Each one has a woven garment around its neck, which covers the connection/joint where the head/neck and body (two pieces) come together. Measurements are 12.5” long, and 13.5” tall. Please look over the condition description, as well as inspect the photos, and let me know of any questions. Shipped via FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, or UPS Ground, and will be packed with care. FINDING ONE OF THESE WOULD BE A VERY RARE FIND... FINDING TWO IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We have been unable to find any reindeer similar to these through an extensive search both in reference books and the internet. PLEASE LET US KNOW OF ANY QUESTIONS!
