Description: Two novelty ceramic tiles from the 1940's. Each has a specific rhyming theme that borders the picture in the center. They both have bright colors and they measure 6" x 6". Very slight crazing appears in the close-up photos, though I didn't notice it when I was looking at them on the table. I very lightly cleaned the two but didn't want to do too much because I wasn't sure what to use other than a damp cloth. There are white dots on the Organ Grinder tile. You can see them in the photos. I'm thinking it may be part of the original condition because so they are so perfectly round and seem to match the paint on the tile. There is discoloration on the cardboard backing from years of hanging on the wall. I actually think these can be cleaned up even more, but I'm going to sell them as you see them here. A great pair of tiles - please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking!
