Beautiful set of Somaware created by two pieces then forming them together, the cracks form while they are cooling, that actual make a very beautiful sound. They are then rubbed with Sumi Ink that turns the cracks Black in contrast with the body. Double layered with Heart shaped cutouts that represent Plover's (Chidori) said to be flying over the waves. The waves represent the ups and downs of society, that people and Plover's get over together. Symbol of Happy Marriage & well being of a family. The interior is of a left facing flying horse, as a sign of Good Luck. This set is in very God pre owned condition, some minor wear to gilded edges. Please see photos it is minor.
