This tree is known as a semi-evergreen in the South, but Deciduous in the Northern Areas. This is an excellent specimen tree for laws or tall multi-stemmed shrub for shrub boarders. You can also use in foundation plantings, near patios or near Woodland areas often planted in parks. This plant will grow in wet soils such as, those found in low spots ornear streams. The Magnolia has a white fragrant bloom that will bloom during the months of late May to early June. When this tree matures it can grow up to 30 feet tall with a spread of 10-30 feet.
