Bell-shaped, bluebell-like, soft blue and white flowers appear in drooping clusters (scorpiod cymes) in mid-spring to early summer. Hidcote Blue is a very attractive comfrey with beautiful spikes of blue flowers.This is an excellent plant for bees, and once its flowered it can be "chopped" back and composted or use in a compost tea, or just left as mulch. this can be repeated 2-4 times per summer.
