We picked up a pretty large collection of slide from the 1960s to the early 1970s several years ago and just put them in one of the closets in the house. We got the collection form a lady who worked for and retired from the Red Cross. She moved to Korea before the Korean War and before it was split into North and South Korea. She later moved to Vietnam during the Korean War before moving back home to the states and retiring from the organization. There are some really cool slides in here of some from throughout North Africa, Asia and the United States. For sale is a pair of pretty cool 35mm slides taken in the Yukon, both dated July 1967.These slides include a cool shot of a gold dredge that appears to be in pretty nice condition, but looks as though it hadn't been used in awhile. It makes one wonder if it's still there 56 years later. The other slide shows the tailings left from a gold dredge laid out like layers of a cut ham. It makes you wonder how much gold they found dredging this gold claim.The slides are in excellent, undamaged condition and ready to be turned into photographs if desired.PLEASE NOTE: Our lighted table doesn't have a very strong light, so the slides aren't as bright as they would be when lit by a stronger light, such as in a projector. However, the slides are quite a bit brighter than shown in the pictures. These slides will be shipped in a padded envelope via media mail with the USPS.
