He began his career in non-fiction, but is now well regarded and best known for his historical fiction works, ranging from stories set in Second World War Britain, to Ancient Rome. His best seller is 'Fatherland' (1992). CONDITION In the original publisher's cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, excellent. There is some very light bumping to the heads and tails of the spines. There is a light mark to the fore edge of 'Ghost'. The dust wrappers have some slight creases to the extremities and slight edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean.
