After a hard afternoon playing outside or just coming in for an after-school snack, youngsters settled down to an "All Star Chocolate Snack" with the Peanuts gang. Ralston Purina manufactured this 1994 tin, which gives the recipe for the snack made with Chex cereal on the inside tin lid. Chex is a brand of breakfast cereal now manufactured by General Mills. Introduced in 1937, by Ralston Purina of St. Louis, MO, the cereal bears the name "Chex" referring to the "checkerboard square" logo of Ralston Purina. The round Chex storage tin, which is 5" in diameter by 6" tall, features brightly colored graphics. The interior is clean with only slight patina along the bottom seam. The can exterior is in great shape with only a little sign of wear around the rim, where eager snackers have opened the box. There is a scratch on the exterior back on the title.
