Description: 1990 Press Photo Other unions join Greyhound drivers strike, Houston bus station This is an original press photo. Greyhound drivers protesting at Houston's downtown bus terminal Friday found they had some support for their five-week walkout when representative from other unions joined them on the picket line. The company estimated there were 60 demonstrators. Also Friday, the drivers union appealed to the company's board of directors and its investors to demand a settlement. A prolonged strike, the union said in a letter, will force the company into bankruptcy. A Greyhound spokesman said the company is in no danger of bankruptcy and that strike-related revenue losses are shrinking as the company hires more replacement drivers.
