Description: Made in England. 1989. Speaker came out of a 1980s Seymour Duncan single 12 speaker cabinet. This is the model speaker that Kurt Cobain used on the Bleach record . Also Dimebag Darrell's favorite speaker. You dont often see these available in 8 ohm. Xlnt condition. Will be carefully boxed for shipping. Celestion speakers go in and out of style over the years...this GM12-70 , like the G12T-75, was once called the worst Celestion speaker and now G12T-75s are considered good speakers...go figure....anyway it sounds good to my ear and not much different than most Celestions I've heard. Auction is for this ONE, 8 ohm speaker. Read this from the Marshall forum: Nov 22, 2014 #37 I just picked up a 1983 JMP 2104 combo with a pair G12M-70. They didn't sound good in the open back combo, so I threw them in a closed back 2X12. I was presently suprised. The highs are especially good and I can get a nice crunch out of them. They have a very nice natural presence that cuts throught the mix very well. Some people say they lack mids and bass, but a little eq'ing on my JCM 800 2204 and they sound excellent. Its true about the closed back cabinets and the G12M-70. They sounds really great in this situation. I had to try it to believe it.
