To make a long story short, 58,000 people showed up."So did Henry Aaron and Willie Mays and Bob Gibson and, yes, Joe DiMaggio. He didn't suit up, but coached third base. Not that it mattered. Just the sight of Joe D turned the place upside down."The highlight was the introductions," Fey said. "We brought in Jack Brickhouse to announce the players. He introduces Aaron and Mays and the place goes absolutely crazy. But when DiMaggio came out, people were crying. It was unbelievable."
