Description: 1983-P WASHINGTON QUARTER - "BU" Still in "Cello" Valued at $4,500 Read More* Click images to enlarge Description Up for sale today is one (1) BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED (BU) 1983-P WASHINGTON QUARTER DOLLAR. This coin is still in it's Original Government Packaging (OGP) (i.e.mint cello/plastic). I personally removed this quarter from the United States Souvenir Set (since the Mint didn't make mint sets that year) but left it in it's original packaging (cello) to take pictures. If this quarter was to be graded I believe it would have an estimated value of $4,500.00 (as of 8-18-24) if it grades MS67 (which I believe it would or higher) If it grades higher the value will be substantially higher. These quarters are rare and hard to find because as I mentioned above, the mint ONLY produced Souvenir Sets in 1982 and 1983. Take a look at the picture from the PCGS web site and compare their MS67 with the huge bag mark across the reverse side of the quarter I am selling and you can see for yourself what I am talking about.
