Description: ND 1980s Northern Ireland One Pound Sterling Banknote Bank of Ireland Belfast Pick 65 O'Neill Signature Crisp Uncirculated For your World Currency Collection-PCU1434 Details Description: A nice crisp uncirculated banknote from Northern Ireland. This is the undated one pound sterling currency note known to have been introduced in 1983. The banknote was issued by the "Bank of Ireland" in Donegall Place in Belfast. It is black and green on lilac underprint on the front. It has Medusa's heads to the left and Hibernia standing to the right with a harp. The back has the same color scheme as the front and shows the image of the bank building in the center with a prop airplane in the top left corner, a boat in the bottom right corner and textile rolls as well as thread in the opposing corners. The front shows the signature of Albert O'Neill as manager, the serial number and the denomination both in numerals and spelled out. This particular note has the serial number h992552, which we like, displayed twice on the front in red. The banknote has a watermark depicting the word BANK OF IRELAND throughout.
