As one can see in the photos, the paint has a great gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely. The rally wheels are in great condition with a brilliant finish and no major curb rash. Please note that this car has the correct and original 4-clip style beauty rings, not the cheaper aftermarket replacements. The raised white letter tires have plenty of tread left. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are a few touch ups, a small chip in the windshield, and some other small imperfections that were too faint to show up in the photos, but nothing that is very noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. The frame is totally solid with no rust around the "key hole" area in front of the rear tire. We have included specific photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how this car looks.Interior The Red (722) interior in this Corvette is in fantastic condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The seats are in excellent shape and look almost new with no holes, split seams, or excessive wear. The seat is not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in great condition with no major stains, holes, or tears. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The dash is in great condition overall with no sun fading, but does have a small crack. The door panels are in nice shape overall and the door pulls are solid and intact. Please note that both seat belts work and retract properly. This is a common problem on C3 Corvettes and an issue many buyers do not think to check. This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes. The numbers matching L48 engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. This Corvette has plenty of power and is quite fast. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos. The original air cleaner and stamped steel valve covers are still in place. The exterior lights work as do the wipers, horn, radio, and power windows. All of the gauges work with the exception of the clock. The headlights themselves work, but must be raised manually. The came with a/c from the factory, but the compressor has been removed. The blower for the heater works, but only on high. The car may need an alignment or something else as it does not track straight down the road. The previous owner told us that when he first purchased this car, he realized that there were some rust issues with the frame. He found a doner 1980 Corvette with a clean frame and swapped the frames between the two cars. The currently frame on the car is clean, has no rust, but was swapped from another 1980 Corvette. We have included many photos of the underside and frame. He also installed new body mounts when the body was off the frame. It is still pleasure it is to drive this car, especially the T-tops out on a beautiful day.Overall Condition Overall, this 1980 Corvette is in nice condition.
