Description: For your kind consideration is this killer vintage Ludwig Rock Machine drum set from the 1979-81 era. This set is in great condition and sounds massive with all the power and projection you could want from larger size drums. These are all original aside from the heads and built around Ludwig's 6-ply shell with clear interiors. During this era of Ludwig manufacturing, they used both glue and rivets for the wrap seams, which can be seen on the bass drum, 13" tom, and 14" tom (the 18" floor tom does not have riveted seams). This set was ordered with the larger 24" Power bass drum which features the deeper 16" shell and two pairs of 1308 spurs. The rack toms were ordered with Clip-Lok mounts and a No. 708 double Clip-Lok tom holder is included. The 13" has the muffler removed to match the other toms that do not have mufflers. There are no extra holes or modifications. The bearing edges are true and original with two tiny nicks in the floor tom batter edge that are almost not worth mentioning and does not affect the sound in any way. The wrap is in clean, well cared for condition on all of the drums with minimal signs of use and the rounded Blue & Olive badges are all present. The original hoops and lugs are clean and show minimal signs of wear and age. There are clear Remo Pinstripes on the tops and bottoms of the toms. The bass drum had it's original black Ludwig logo front head and a coated Ludwig Rocker on the batter side. Most importantly, they tune up like a dream and sound fantastic.
