Started in 1980 by Rick Hurst racing after a visit to HOLBERT Motorsports who was building and selling the 933 kits for Porsche. This chassis was never registered as a street car ( a interesting story on its own). Stripped, acid dipped then SCCA D prod cage installed by then SCCA Trans am & IMSA GTO driver and fabrication specialist Vince Gimondo jr. from Winter Park Fla. The chassis was then primed and abandoned in the race shop for 42 years. We purchased the tub from Rick Hurst racing in 2022. We worked with team during the 80’s scca escort series. I saw this tub the first time in 1984 and was excited to finish the long forgotten project. Over the last couple of years I have accumulated most of the pieces to finish it although no official 933 parts. I did part out a 1981 931 for the block, crank, rods, head, torque tube, snail shell trans, shift linkage, rear axel beam and 5 lug hubs. Purchased NOS rod and main brgs, Gasket sets and euro NA pistons. All of this and more come with the project.
