Even though the USA bicentennial was not until 1976, Congress authorized the US Mint to begin making the Bicentennial coins (with different reverses) in 1975 due to the expected high demand for them. No quarters, halves or dollars were made with the 1975 date on them. Each coin is produced by the San Francisco Mint and bears the “S” mint mark. This 6-coin set consists of Eisenhower Dollar, Kennedy Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel and Lincoln Cent. You will find your set attractively placed in its original fitted acrylic holder accompanied by the original 1975 box. Mintage: 2,845,450 COA’s were not introduced with the proof sets until 1986, so there is no COA with this set as none were offered.
