1975 Fender Jazz Bass black overspray over Sunburst factory painted that way.

Description: Dated through the fender serial number checker it comes up as a 75. I thought it was a 73 but who cares it’s beautiful anyway, and all of the painting on this guitar came from the factory. It was originally a sunburst, but at the time in the 70s, when the punk rock scene came out fender had a surplus of Jazz basses that were sunburst. They decided to overspray them different colors. That’s why it’s called a FACTORY OVERSPRAY. Then almost 50 years of playing this jazz bass the black top coat slowly is worn off revealing the beautiful Sunburst color underneath. This is a genuine very well played guitar That truly shows it’s battle wounds in the paint. The neck is absolutely perfect and it has never to my knowledge been refretted. She plays beautifully. This is not a RE-FINISHED Paint job. I just reduced the price… This was not made on somebody’s bench with someone sanding off the paint or however, the hell they do it. Why would somebody buy a bass guitar brand new that looks 50 years old? That makes no sense to me whatsoever but it is what it is. Every scratch and spot where the paint is no longer there was earned by thousands of times of playing this. I’m sure spilt beer , tons of backstage SEX and vomit had a lot to do with it. If you’re NOT a yuppie and you want jazz bass that shows it’s earned its WEAR N TEAR then here you go… YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER BASS GUITAR LIKE THIS FOR SALE BECAUSE IF ONE GOES UP, I’M THE ONE THAT WILL BUY IT. I HAVE TOO MANY. THERE WAS A 1966 THAT SOLD ON HERE FOR $35,000 AND IT LOOKED JUST LIKE THIS, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. JUST IMAGINE HOW GORGEOUS THIS WOULD LOOK IN YOUR COLLECTION, BUT YOU NEED TO PLAY IT AND ONCE YOU PLUG IT IN YOU’RE GONNA SWEAR I WAS CRAZY FOR LETTING IT GO! Good luck add this to your collection.
