1970 Aermacchi Harley Davidson Rapido 125cc "mother natured patina" for display

Description: we just took custody of a 1970 aermacchi harley davidson rapido 125cc from its original owner. we have the massachusetts sales & usage tax paperwork, the original harley davidson owners card, and its original license plate. the owner bought it new at sheldon's harley davidson in worcester, ma. july of 1970. the odometer reads 2770 miles. it lived a purposeful life and at some point it was placed in a barn. since then mother nature has been slowly reclaiming it. the only part that is missing is the right side upper motor mount and the battery. the original key in the ignition & the fork lock key, the original valve stems are still intact, the wiring is intact, the gas tank chrome panels are intact and the inside smells like shellac, the seat is original, the speedometer is intact, the high beam indicator, headlamp sealed beam & taillight lens is intact, it's a complete mess of an old motorcycle that was left for dead. the engine is locked up. the bike is a time capsule where nobody screwed around with it. it was ridden hard and put in the barn, we do not have the heart to disassemble it and part it out, we'd have more labor and disposal cost than what it's worth in parts so we're going to try an ebay sale and hope someone with a bar, restaurant, hobby garage, museum of odd and eclectic things could preserve it as is. unfortunately we don't have room for it so it's up for sale. we are charging a flat fee for the motorcycle shipment for the domestic 48 states via daily direct/haul bikes. local pickup is encouraged and there is no charge for anyone coming to pick the bike up from our shop. we will consider overseas buyers that can use delivery point in the continental united states the lower 48 states only. we will not consider Alaska and Hawaii buyers unless they also have a lower 48 states delivery address. want or need more pictures?? more information ?? call or email 978- two six five- 4158 sonnysmotorcyclerepair.com
