Description: Handwritten response to Art Bissell of the Honus Wagner Memorial Baseball Hall of Fame, dated February 2, 1961, to Dick Kerr. Bissell wrote Kerr to request an autographed baseball to display at the museum, as well as a request for a memento to display. Kerr responded, simply, "Will be glad to?" and then signs his name and leaves his address. Additionally, he adds as a postscript "No memento's left - Dick". Kerr's signature and response are all written in blue ballpoint, clean and sharp, directly on Bissell's letter. Kerr, of course, was a member of the 1919 Chicago White Sox who was not implicated in the World Series scandal. Kerr had a brief career in the majors, punctuated by annual salary holdouts, and thus signed, baseball-related items from Kerr are not easy to find. An exceptional piece of correspondence, specifically referencing the 1919 World Series. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. This is a rare find for any baseball fan! A signed letter from Dickey Kerr, Honus Wagner, and Dick Kerr is up for sale. The letter is from the Honus Wagner Memorial Baseball Hall of Fame, and it comes with authentication from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
