Evidence of a Number Change Due To Stitching Impressions. #78 Was Never a Rostered Player Number in That Era. Beautiful vintage jersey with wash tag on inside lower tail along with a Set 1, 1959 flag tag. Shows moderate wear with some slight pink fading in the armpits. Usually under the Rawlings tag is a players name embroidered there but has since be removed. Light staining in spots but overall this jersey is in excellent condition especially for its age. This jersey is huge and to me seems a lot larger than size 48. Back collar to bottom tail - 35.75"Armpit to armpit - 27.5"Chest below front #78 - 26.5" Whoever wore this jersey was a large player or coach
