Description: An absolutely MINTY, unplayed with 8” Betsy McCall doll from 1959 - dressed in her original and complete1959 outfit B-39 Ballerina. It is lime green and has a satin bodice with a nylon tricot shoulder drape, two fabric roses on the bodice with a single sewn square back snap closure. Nylon tricot skirt with a perfect green elastic waistband, lime green taffeta panties with nylon tricot ruffles, a floral spray with wire stems wrapped around her wrist, and perfect, never untied pink satin slippers. She has perfect silky auburn/Tosca hair in the original set with both barrettes, a perfect creamy complexion, beautiful blush and color, and a ruby of a watermelon smile. Perfect hands and arms. Her sleep eyes need a gentle touch of your finger to open and close. Her head is strung well and she has perfect knees that hold a pose! She really is one of the prettiest and mintiest Betsy McCall dolls I’ve ever had my hands on! Her outfit is in incredible condition for its age. There is no rough edge on the bodice, and the elastic waistband on the skirt is perfect. I won’t undress her to get a better picture of the panties or her body because I don’t think the outfit has ever been off of her. She looks like she has spent the last 65 years in her box, protected from the light. I truly feel like she has never been played with - she is so beautiful! She comes with a box that has BETSY MCCALL stamped on the end with the Tosca line checked. Someone has written April Showers on the end of the box. The top of the box has handwriting that has 450 crossed off with 298 underneath it. She also has a booklet titled The Fun and Play Book of World of Playthings by the American Doll & Toy Corp. It has a comic book of Tiny Tears and Baby Toodles that shows all the great accessories you can get for them. The inside back cover is an ad for 2 American Doll Miniatures - Toni for $2.98 and Betsy McCall for $2.25 :~) Her outfit can be seen on page 46 of the "Betsy McCall A Collector's Guide" by Marci Van Ausdall. She is pristine, clean, and odor-free! Her outfit is CRISP and minty! She is just beautiful and 8” tall. What a wonderful opportunity to bring this gorgeous 65-year-old doll into your collection! She is a wonderful little thing that will bring a smile to your face!
