Description: 1957 Silver Washington Quarter Type B Reverse FS-901 From TRUE OBW Roll Really This listing is fior one (1) 1957 Washington Quarter with a Type "B" Reverse from an original bank wrapped roll which had two beautiful end of roll coins, both tails, and both Type B Reverse.Multiple coins are availble.The toned coins are en route to PCGS and are not avaialble for sale (yet).I collect bank wrapped rolls, and for me, it's blasphemous to open them. This roll has been in my core collection for years and today I succumbed to the tenmptation. I was submitting some other coins to PCGS and the itch was too much not to scratch this time while shooting a Youtube Video After I opened the roll, 31 of the 40 1957 Quarters had the Type B Reverse and the other 9 had the standard Type A Reverse.These coins are frosty and fresh and have very stong cartwheel luster. There is some light spotting as is so sommon on silver BU Washington Quarters but nothing too drastic. ALl the coins are in the choice BU Grade Range with a few possibly just making the gem grade, but we will call them all choice BU to be conservative.The Type B Reverse was intended for Proof Strikes and will only be foind on some business strike Washington Quarters dated 1956-1964 and only on Philadelphia issues. The Type B Reverse can be identified by looking at the word STATES on the reverse. The ES in STATES will not touch and will have approximately 1 mm of separation. The Type A Reverse will show the E and S in STATES actually touch each other. Another pickup point is to look at the A in DOLLAR on the bottom of the reverse. The vine connecting the leaf above the A to the top of the A is very thick and the leaf on that vine is also very thick. The entire reverse is in "High Relief" vs. the Type A which has "Low Relief".
